    Default Share your FTA Dish setup.

    Hello to all members.this thread is about fta dish setup for people who are watching free channels via dish anteena .it can be c band or ku band.share what satellite currently you have setup and what STB you have.

    Although not as many as there was years ago there are still a number of FTA satellite channels available, often the issue is that they are spread through out over several satellites which means you often need a dish setup with multiple lnb's to pick up several satellites to be able to get a lot of them and there could be on different bands requiring different size dishes for each band.

    is a site I found that has a list of some fta channels

    you also have to be sure when trying to set up a system that each satellite you wish to try and receive that your location is within the satellite's footprint.

    A more common setup for true FTA is a motorized dish. It tracks the satellites and moves as required or requested by the user.

    I have seen the motorized versions more with c band which uses larger dishes.
