    Default Furnace blower fan

So I have a Goodman heating unit that comes on normal. Blows forced heat and when thermostat kicks off the flame goes out and the fans stay in to cool down. Issue is when fans shut down u hear them kick on once again and go on again for a good minute. It eventually shuts off and then you hear motor kick in as if unit was about to start up again. Few seconds then that shuts off and good go for next cycle.

Most modern furnaces have 2 blowers. the inducer (exhaust blower) that comes on at the start of a heating cycle and runs before the burners light, and the main blower that moves air through your ductwork. It comes on after the burners are lit and stays on a few seconds after the end of a heating cycle.

Which one is kicking back on?

It’s the second one. Blower come on then shuts off for like not even a second and turn back on blowing cold air. Once that turns off after minute or two the unit kicks on as if it’s about to heat Home again but it sounds like that first blower your mentioning. I would call it the noise it makes before gas opens and pilots kick off if that makes sense.

So have an update. Seems thermostat is late on when telling pilot shut off and start cooling down. The cool down process starts before you hear the click from thermostat. However if I do this process manually. Ex. Drop temp down it follows process you get click and the cool down process works. No issues with extra blowing. If that makes sense.

It sounds like it's detecting a problem and shutting down and attempting to restart but still going into shutdown/lockout.

Do you have a diagnostic LED on the main board. Look at it while it is acting up and count the flashes then check the inside cover or manual and tell us what it says.
If it does not have one then you will need to be able to provide much more detail for as there are many different reasons for it shutting down. Just guessing can be more expensive then paying for a service call.

So Iím still battling this issue. Iíve ordered board from amazon and that gives me other issues. When unit turns on the blower fans come on before pilot even lights. Iíve tried new thermostats and the boards as mentioned. Iíve had the service guys out but but every time they come out, the freakin unit works fine. Itís intermittent. Iíve had the unit turn pilot off before thermostat says to. There has be some sort of thermopile or something other then board or thermostat.

Post the model number of the furnace.

Post the make and model of the circuit board, which will be found imprinted on the circuit board.
