    Default Problem with Mercury vapor light

    Why is my Mercury vapor light staying in for 4 minutes then go off for 45 seconds then come back on for 4 minutes and back off for 45 seconds repeatedly ?

    Likely hitting a thermal cutoff. Once it cools down it will reset. Could be a failing bulb or a failing ballast/power supply

    Is it on a light sensor? How close is the sensor to the fixture. The light from the fixture could be triggering it to shut off.
