    Default Automatic standby generator installation

I'm thinking of having an automatic standby generator installed at my home in Toronto (Ontario, Canada) a 11kw Generac Guardian model# 6439.

I'm getting an electrical (ESA) permit and inspection.

Just wondering if there are any other local codes I should watch out for building code or fire code?

    Thanks

I don't think Toronto has any permits needed unless you build a building around it.
You will need the gas inspected or installed by a certified installer.

    Thanks for the information.

Are there any codes related to the location of the generator as far as how close it can be to a building, windows, gas meters, A/C units...etc.

Sorry I don't know. I would call Toronto city hall and ask them. I didn't find anything on their website.

Just want to add that location would be part of the building codes not the electrical codes.
