    Default e reader question

Can a person load a pdf document onto a kindle or other type ereader from a PC? The reason I ask is I have manuals for my outboard motor, chainsaw, lawn mower etc. When I want to use them could I load them onto the reader and the take the reader out to the motor for reference. Right now I only own a desktop and have to keep going back inside to check things.

Try this.. I don't have one, but this came up in google. I don't see it having the processing power to handle a complex pdf with vector graphics. Most older manuals are just scans though.

I use a pdf reader on my work iphone and have about 9 gigs of manuals on it.

It's handy to have and once you start doing it, you will find that you are going to want to put more and more on your device. If you go with a reader, test it first if you can. It's a secondary function of them and it may struggle with some larger or complex documents. 90% of the stuff on my personal phone is scanned documents or single page created pdf's (school calendars) and would probably be no issue on any reader.
