A few hurdles to get passed first but assuming I get all the approvals I will get a contractor to build this addition on the house this summer. Almost afraid to find out the total cost as I know it is not going to be cheap.

I was wondering if anyone has been in contact or heard of general contractors/architects using the 3D printing technology for new projects? Really just looking for some feedback on pros and cons.

At the consumer level it really helps visualize what the finished product will look like instead of designing in the blind. You can move realistic objects around to at least get a little bit of an idea how it may look. It really helped me get a starting design down for an addition before I even approach and discuss with a contractor to actual build it.

The ikea website also has a online kitchen designer which I also find quite useful, although it uses kitchen cabinets sold in ikea, but it still be used for designing the kitchen and then buy the items where ever you like.
