Default Need Help with Kenmore dishwasher model 665-15919

    Hello,
Our Kenmore dishwasher model number 665-15919 will not start. I have checked the circuit breaker and still nothing. There were no warning signs and it ran perfect yesterday. I have searched on and off all day on the web but to no avail. I found this site and I hope we can figure out what the issue at hand may be. Thanks in advance and looking forward to getting it fixed.

    Hi,

    665-15919
    I found 665.15919000 & 665.15919001

will not start. I have checked the circuit breaker and still nothing
My dishwasher will not start: Most common d/w power is 120 volts, check for 120 volts with a volt meter at the main power harness where it enters into the dishwasher, you will have to remove the lower access panels to get to the power box. Dishwashers also have at least one and most newer dishwashers have two door switches that must be checked. You will find then behind the console at the door latch area.

Another common trouble maker is the thermal fuse ( in the consol )...

Jeff, I am responding to a 2007 selfhelp forum of yours. Even though it was quite old I had issues with a Kenmore ultra Clean dishwasher's lock light blinking. I tried everything you and the other person had tried or suggested, but nothing worked. From holding the No heat button four seconds, to alternating the no heat with the normal wash button 6 times, and including unplugging and plugging the ribbon to reseat it several times. But after doing all that I figured I would just try to pull off the outside door part of the ribbon while it was powered up and door was closed to see if the light would go off. Finally after two days of reading everyone's suggestions, calling kenmore and them telling me it's an $80 charge for them to come just look at it, the light went out. I had slowly and very carefully pulled off the black cover that shows the names of the button and then pulled off the clear cover under that and as I got to where the lock light button was the light finally went out. So I then very slowly watching the lock light as I went, I pushed the clear cover back on then the black button cover back on. And I have run a load of pots and a load of dishes and it is working great. But I want to thank you for giving me the suggestions to try the other things so I was familular with the controls after two days. Thank you again.

    Unhappy I spoke too soon

Sorry Jeff I spoke too soon. I ran the dishwasher three times this week and the this morning I unload it and reload it and nothing not even a light. I tested the fuse with the OHMS meter so it's not that do you have any suggestions?

Each manufacture has different designs but this is a picture of what some of the newer dishwasher switches look like.
