    Default Admiral fridge disassembly

    Admiral
    Model: HMG18104
Can someone point me to an exploded view of this refrigerator? Can't seem to find one. I need to check the df heater, stat, and timer. Haven't figured how to get access to anything on it. I have not tried since it thawed out, but I have never come across one like this that I know.
Don't really have much if an idea how to take it apart. Not even sure where the timer is.
    Thanks

    I found some close...

    HMG181040
    HMG181040/SER.PRE.10
    HMG181040/SER.PRE.11

    But no parts breakdowns.

Is the evaporator under the freezer floor?

Not really sure actually. This thing was frozen uo pretty bad. There is no panel in the back like I expected. One screw going into the fan housing in the freezer holding a piece that looks like it should slip out of the bottom of the freezer. It did not seem to want to come out. I thought it may have been frozen to the bottom of the freezer section.
I'm thinking the piece between the freezer and ff section where the dials are has to come out someway.

That is what I was thinking it had to be. I had removed the one in the corner and the ones holding the dials. Now I see I have to pull out on that housing.
    Thanks a bunch!

Thanks. Where is the timer on this fridge?
Checked the defrost stat after leaving it in a freezer for a little while. When I first checked it with meter set to sound, it showed to be bad. Put it back in the freezer and left it in longer. I then got soubd in my meter. But, when it warmed, I would not get sound. I did get a high resistance reading like 2404k with meter on Auto.
Shouldn't it show open circuit even on auto?

I am thinking the small housing ariund the control knobs should unsnap and pull down or out. That or the whole big panel should pull out like the other did. Tried that, but not sure how to raise the coils enough to let that happen.
Looks like there would be access to the timer to turn it with a screw driver, but I have not found it.

Where is the timer on this fridge?
Most where at the back bottom....some where on the front bottom behind the lower grill....lastly that I remember is inside the housing with the temp control(s).

Shouldn't it show open circuit even on auto?
When warmed up, yes it should.

I got the control housing off. No timer there. Called myself looking all under it for the timer where I have seen them before. I was working outside and had to stop and wrap the fridge in plastic when it started raining.
Hopefully, I can find it tomorrow. May have to lean it back to get a good view of the bottom.
Hoping it is just a bad df stat.
