    Default Clothes Wrapping Around Agitator!

We have a Maytag Centennial Washer and the clothe are always wrapping around the agitator. It’s become a problem because it rattles the machine when spinning. We always stop it then readjust the clothes so it can spin and drain properly. I do believe the machine could only be one direction when agitating and that could be the problem. But there’s also a clicking noise before the agitating process begins. Any help on this problem would be appreciated thanks!

    Model#?
Where is my Model Number? | Appliance Aid Some model# helps.

the clothe are always wrapping around the agitator
That is often an indication of the washer agitating and spinning at the same time.

    That one works

    It’s also throwing the code F7 E6
    A copy:

    F7 E6
    Condition: Motor fault

Check/Repair: Unplug the washer and check the wiring connections on the drive motor. Check motor capacitor. If the wiring connections are okay, then the drive motor will typically need to be replaced.

    Washing machine main drive motor

We have a Maytag Centennial Washer and the clothe are always wrapping around the agitator.
Only things that I know that will do that is agitating and spinning at the same time. Washer should not agitate when spinning and should not spin when agitating.

    Things that control those:
    Drive Splutch Kit
    Mode shift actuator
    Transmission

I am sorry to say this style washer has been plagued with issues and problems

How do you tell which is causing it, diagnostic mode?
I think I scrapped one once thinking the transmission, if that is what is called, was bad. It seemed to index a little.

For me it is a combination of observation, test mode and intuition.

For me it would be process of elimination.
I would start with test mode or error codes. It seems error codes do not always put me right on the exact problem.
I am going to have to learn more about these electronic models or go into another field.
