    Default KitchenAid Stand Mixer Repair

Hey, I could really use some help with this..

A little background info: I work at a day program for adults with intellectual disabilities, where we teach independent living skills and other vocational skills. We recently purchased this mixer for use during cooking activities. While the mixer was running, one of the individuals dropped a metal measuring cup into the mixer. The mixer still works, but the beater now knocks hard against the side of the bowl when running. So now I'm left with the task of fixing the mixer .

    ~6 months old

From what I can tell, it seems like something is bent where the beater attaches to the mixer. I think I need to remove the planetary gear assembly to remove the bent part. I was able to tear down the gearbox other than the gear at the base of the gearbox which spins the accessory gear. Couldn't get that one to budge and couldn't get the gearbox housing off to get to the planetary... Does anyone have any tips to remove the planetary assembly for this mixer? Or any suggestions for troubleshooting the problem further?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
