    Default Porch fridge

Can you expect a fridge to work properly sitting on a porch during winter weather? Does it depend on the cold control setup?
My thinking is, if the fridge is set to cut off at..40 degrees, and the temp drops to 40 or below for long enough, the the fridge will cut off. The ff section should be okay, but the freezer will get above freezing unless the ambient temp gets below freezing long enough to also get the inside of the freezer below freezing.
