Default Neptune dryer drum and felt

    Model - mde9700ayw

Does it matter which way the drum goes in this dryer?

Not sure what I am going to do with it. Needed a roller. Thirtytwo dollars later I see one of the felts is worn. I had turned the drum around as I thought maybe it had been installed backwards. Not sure now what me think that. I think I thought there was too much slack in the back.

How would a worn felt affect this dryer with the drum resting on rollers. I know at some point it woill make noise as it is bound to scrub. Will it affect the heat until it wears out?

May have a scrapper! Can't buy the felt seals seperately it seems.

As far as I know it can go in either way...

Wouldn't effect the rollers at all.

    Sure would!

They came with the drum and the drum is now NLA.

Man, I fooled with that thing for I don't know how long taking it apart to install the new roller (not cheap), having screws left, taking back apart, etc.. Not sure how many times I did this as I got more and more frustrated. Finally, with a small flashligth in my mouth, got it reassembled with no spare screws. Then it hit me..forgot to put the...belt on the motor!

That was enough for me. Gotta learn to backup and take a pause sometimes.

At least I will have some what seems to be rare and costly rollers if I need them down the road...if I can find them when I need them. Should say if someone else needs them. Doubt I will be fooling with this model much.
