Default Dryers in same duplex going out

This makes me thin of the post about my sisters dryer and/or electrical problem.

    Roper
    Model - red4440vq1
    Serial - m047778o8

This is one town over from me. Girl's dryer is supposedly only a few years old. She had to have the timer replaced a little while back. Now it will not come one. From what I can tell, the timer has gone out again. She lives in a duplex. Her neighbor has also had dryer problems. They replaced their dryer with a used one. It has gone out also. I have not looked at the neighbor's dryer, but I suspect maybe a wiring problem in this duplex.

    Timer # w10185972

I told her we could replace the timer or I could sell her a dryer, but if there is a problem with the wiring, there will be a repeat.

She did say the utility company had done some work a.t the pole about a week or so ago. I told her they may have had a problem and fixed it or caused one. Not sure when the dryer went out in regards to the work at the pole.

I'm thinking these duplexes should have seperate meters, so the problem might very well have been at the pole.
    * Re-entered the numbers and the dryer shows to be 5 years old. (Nov. 2010)

You are right, they should and neither should effect each other.

but if there is a problem with the wiring, there will be a repeat
Nothing else in the house effected?...if yes, possible wire/power issue...if no, probably just the crappy timer.
