Default Actuator? Timer? Too much detergent?

    Whirlpool washer model - wtw4800xq4

If I push the Pause button on this machine, raise the lid, close the lid, then hit start, it does not seem to want to anything. I can unplug it, plug it back up, hit start and it will sense then start back washing.

If I put it on Rinse/Spin, it still just wants to agitate if anything.

Suggestions?? Only about 3 years. No that that means much these days.

Actuator is a common trouble maker for this style of units!

Thanks Jeff. I have 4 or 5 similar washers. We have discussed them before I think. The ones with the booklet that tells how to diagnose supposedly. Oh well, might see what I can do with this one.

Anyway to bench test the actuator?

Not that I am aware of....suppose to get checked when you go through the service mode from the tech sheet.
