    Default Whlpl pump clamp

Would a bottom clamp missing on a direct drive whlpl washer pump cause a slight water seepage at the bottom pump hose in the spin cycle?

It might....pump would not sit correctly and could weep at the pump seal....maybe vibration is loosening the hose clamp.

Almost forgot. I replaced the missing camp, and it still leaked. Thought I saw a crack in the pump and replaced it with a new one. It seeped. Changed the clamp and used head gasket sealer to get it to stop seeping. Never experienced this before. A screw type hose clamp or a different hose might have solved it with the new pump, but I already had the sealant on it.

A good screw clamp seems to work much better for me than the spring style clamps do.
