    Default Kenmore Country Kitchen

Jeff, back in 2003 we had discussed this stove I have. I don't think I ever sent you a very good picture of it. At the time, I thought I had seen one for like 3995 somewhere. Never did find that one again, but found this one today when I googled the stove. Thought I would send it to you so you would know what I was talking about.

P.S. When I googled it, our discussion on DIY popped up. That is how I know it was so long ago that we had that particular discussion.

This is the one peole would look at and say things like' " My grandmother had a stove like that". I would tell them to pull one of the doors back to reveal control knobs for the elements which were plainly visible on the surface. Was a good conversation piece.

Some of those are pretty neat, if you like the chrome look. Imo, sometimes less is better.

Jeff, sorry about not responding until now. Just now saw your last response. Doubt I will do anything with it. The stove part worked when I got it. It has been outside for a few years now. It would have to be completely restore as far as the electrical is concerned. The stove itself is in pretty good shape. I removed rust from the top piece with electrolysis years ago, and it still looks good.

I also have an old Hotpoint 3 burner stove circa 1926. If I had room, both would be interesting projects.

I often wondered if these would make a good retirement job....slowly restore old style appliances to new style standards.
