Default Frigidaire FDB1050REC2 freezes after cycle

Hello and thanks in advance for any time spent assisting me. I have a frigidaire FDB1050REC2 and it will run a full cycle normally, but when completed (led light on "clean") the panel becomes unresponsive. Opening and shutting the door doesn't reset it and I have to flip the breaker to reset the machine, after which it will run a cycle again. Been living with this work around awhile but I need to repair this thing before my home sale closes.

Found this old thread which led me here:

    http://www.selfhelpforums.com/showthread.php?t=22495

When I attempt the rotary test described, I can't get the 7 LEDs to stop flashing by opening the door and it gets stuck with them flashing. Disconnecting power to the panel and reconnecting (I had the thing opened up to check the door switch connections were secure) resets me back to the flashing three. I am going to borrow a multimeter to check continuity on the door switch but was hoping someone might know if this sound like a bad control panel or door switch just from my description. Obviously the door switch would be much preferable to me but I don't want to buy and find out I still need a new panel!

    Hi,

Definetly check the lock/latch and door switches....if the d/w doesn't sense the door has been opened when the cycle has finished it will not allow another cycle to be selected.

Failing that, then yes you are likely into a new control board...
