    Default Samsung washer balance problem

    Model - wa400pjfjhdwr\aa

What causes these do get to off balance other than overloading? It seems to be a big problem with these machines. A friend of my wife has one that , from what I gather, got off balanced then put water on the floor. She said something came loose and she zip tied it back. It came loose again when the machine started shaking.

What is usaully the fix for these? Springs on the suspension rods? Counter balance weight?

Is this a top load style?

Most problems we have had with off-balanced issues is the inner wash basket is going egg shaped and the 4 suspection springs. Had to change a few of them.

Yes, it is a top load. I will be sure and check the basket if they bring it to me. What causes the basket to get out of shape, unbalanced loads? Overloading? Six of one, half a dozen of another? In other words, a little of both?

    Cheap manufacturing!
Had 2 actually cut the outer holding tank.....but those where rare, most we just had to replace the basket and 4 suspension rods and all was good.

Can't find much info on this machine except this seems to be a known problem. Just got it in , and have not had a chance to check it out yet.

While it is on my mind, should the wash plate have any back and forth play in it with the washer empty and unplugged? I can move this one about an inch either way by hand with no problem at all.
The booklet that is with it says to check and make sure the lock nuts are tightened on the bottom plate> Is the bottom plate the wash plate?

Gotta remember these have been translated from Korean to English by a computer.

Wash plate or pulsator is #4 and 4-1

Exactly what I tell people. That is why I have to ask someone with more experience with these type manuals.

Btw, when I push down on the tub then turn it loose, it does not bounce. It comes right back to original position with no up and down movement. This is an indication the suspension rods are good, right?

    Nope.

Run the washer, empty and with a load.

I think I also came across the 4 different ones. This machine does not have any numbers on it after AA that I can find.

Since the drive system is I assume basically an electric motr, I guess it is normal to be able to turn the wash plate while holding the tub?

    Per instructions:

    Noisy and/or Vibration/Walking

Check if the washer is leveled and the lock nuts are tightened up on the bottom plate

check if all of the shipping bolts and spacers are removed from the back panel

Check if load is big enough and there is no ounbalance. If there is not enoughload, put in a few towels to balance it

Check if motor is fastened enough

Remove various trouble contributors (Such as dust coat on the floor).
