    Default Flashy GE washer

    Model - WJRE5550K

Son-in-law said this machine filled with water and did nothing. He raised the lid to see w hat was going on, and there was a flash. I think he tried to turn the tub back and forth.

Ideas? Board short out? Maybe a wire got rubbed into.

One of the lid switch wires had gotten caught in the cabinet. The wire was burned into. Heheh, guess that explains the flash. Glad there was no more damage done.
