    Default no cold water

    M - 110.28832700

No cold water only hot even when temp switch is on Cold. Power is being sent to Cold and Hot at the same time. But, the water is hot when the temp switch is on cold. It is not warm.

Inlet valve solenoids show around 800 ohms, so I am thinking the inlet valve is good electrically.

I am thinking timer or temp switch, but another first for me. I have never had to deal with this type before.

Loads of problems ( no pun intended ) with that water temp switch

Another thing I should mention is I took the connection off the hot solenoid and put it on the cold side and still got no cold water. Got nothing with just the hot on the cold side.

The complaint was it would fill and stop part way. He would turn the timer dial and it would start again, if I understood him right. So that makes me suspect maybe the timer is going bad.

So far, I haven't been able to decipher the schematic on this washer. Going to have to take a closer look at it.

May have to back off this one.

Could you explain to me the path the power travels to energize the inlet valves.

It looks like the neutral (W) goes to the lid switch then on to the motor (G) The white neutral is connected to to both H and C solenoids. Looks like the positive side comes from the water level switch. Not sure what the temp switch is on the schematic, the Soil Switch?

    What is the ATC sensor?

If you have power to the cold water inlet valve solenoid but no water then either the valve is bad, the screens are clogged or there is no cold water supply. The temp switch on the wiring diagram is the ATC switch. That is the automatic temperature control. There is a circuit board inside the switch.

Thanks fixer. Why would both connectors show to have 120 volts at the same time? I am not sure if there is no cold water mixed with the hot when it is set on cold I do know no matter what you have it set on, cold or hot, you get hot.

There should not be any hot water if temp switch is set to it's first position which is COLD. This is a non atc setting. Also, all rinse fills are non atc cold only. Sounds like it's a faulty temp switch but if you are for sure getting 120vac across the cold solenoid but not getting water, then either the valve is bad, the screens are clogged or there is no cold supply, plain and simple.

I will see if I can scan the diagram and get it posted.
