Default 1956 GE LH12-N How to Clean Serpentine Coils

I am having cooling problems with my old '56 GE fridge. Originally it was freezing everything in the freezer and fridge - ice everywhere. I had the temperature controller looked at by my local appliance repair guy - now I can NOT get the fridge below 41F. I noticed a film on the serpentine coils. Anyone know how to clean the old aluminum serpentine coils? I tried turning the recalibration screw in the temperature controller, though it isn't making a difference. I am at a bit of a loss as to how it could go from being a big freezer to barely being a refrigerator now. Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

    Refrigerator is older than me.
Might be best to ask some places that restore these older appliances...

Thank Jeff - It is older than me too, I guess that is what makes it worth saving.

    Thanks again for the links.
