    Default Start switch?

    Model - DE410 Mayatag Dryer

I open the door and the dryer stops as it should. I shut the door and it starts back up on its own. I do not have to push the start button. Is this normal? Can't remember any that did this.
    Thanks.

    Nope.

Original switch is coming up as NLA.

Maybe you can make a little newer one work...

It may have just been cold and a little sticky as I had just brought it in from a few miles away in an open truck. Hasn't done since last night.

It also had quite a bit of lint in the control panel on the wires and switches. Maybe sitting up in a garage for a few months not being used had a little to do qwith it also.

That's a fairly old dryer to sell...25+ years old.

Agree. Was a very nice dryer for it's age. Sold cheap.

Have the washer too, but it has what looks like grease buildup along the top of the tub that can be scraped off as if seal or something is bad. I am taking it back to the guy I got it from.
