    Default Samsung dryer shuts off

    Model : DV328AEW/XAA
Our personal dryer will be running and just shut off as if the plug was pulled from the wall. Wife just turns it back on, and it comes on and runs like nothing happened. What causes this? Something overheating?

Thelint screen looked a little odd to me, almost as if it is getting a little hot. I intend to see if I can clean the dark area off of it.

    Cooments?

The display and all goes off or just the dryer running?

If yes, possible loose power wire ( cord, outlet, house fuse/breaker ).

Display and all goes off, just like someone turned it off or pulled the plug.
All it takes is to turn it back on and it runs.

    Tricky breaker?

I will check the cord and the prongs on it. And for any loose wire at the terminal block. If it still does it, I will change the breaker. Seems strange that the breaker does not have to be turned back on though. I mean it isnot tripping. Maybe it is going bad and trying to trip?

Just the dryer, would think door switch, thermal fuse, pcboard, motor, belt switch....but since it is the entire dryer ( display and all ) the main power would be the prime suspect to me.

The pcboard in the top left I would think would not be a suspect as it controls the individual operations but not the display....the display board may be suspect ( stuck button, loose wire, bad board ) for shutting down everything.

Seems strange that the breaker does not have to be turned back on though
Could be something heating up, opens up and then cools and re-closes.
