    Default Small kenmore washer

    model : 110.81810100
    serial : c74302274

This washer shows to be possibly from '77 or '87. Only has a timer for the controls. It measures like an inch or inch and a half smaller in width and depth from what I am accustomed to. Any idea what capacity it should be? This is not what was called an apartment size is it?

Btw, it is a very good running machine.

Nope. Just a smaller than normal full size.....kinda compact but not apt size compact.

Nope. Sears may be able to tell you that....or you will have to measure the tub and calculate it out.

Thanks. I was just going to do a little searching on this thing.

This formula work for the tub? I was thinking there was one more step to figure volume of a round object. Seems you posted it a while back when I had a guestion about a small front load washer.

    2.43 cu ft sound right?
Normal size is somewherew around 3, right?

Hat eto answer my own guestion, but it seems the average tub is 2.45 to 3.3 cu ft.

Meaning this is a small tub in comparison. almost a third smaller than average. Lad y asked me if it was big enough to wash a blanket. Guess that would depend on the size of the blanket. Baby blanket? Yes. Full sized heavy bed blanket? Hmm, not sure.

I would have guessed around 2.5-2.7 cuft....so you are probably right with the 2.5 area.

    A copy:

    Some washer sizes....

    Maytag Atlantis - 3.2 cu.ft. Maytag Dependable - 2.9 cu.ft. Performa by Maytag - 3.3 cu.ft. Maytag Neptune - 3.3 cu.ft. Magic Chef - 3.3 cu.ft. GE ( Hotpoint, Moffat, McClary ) has 2 sizes, Extra large - 2.7 cu.ft and Super - 3.2 cu.ft. Frigidaire ( front loader ) 3.1 cu.ft. Amana calls both sizes, super capacity - 3.2 cu.ft & 3.3 cu.ft. Frigidaire top load washers, 2.7 cu.ft extra large & 3.0 cu.ft super capacity. Frigidaire front load washers are 3.1 cuft.

Lady asked me if it was big enough to wash a blanket.
A small blanket only fore sure!

Extra Large? Does not seem to be much difference in that GE rating and this one. Confusing. .3 of 1 cuft must be a lot relatively speaking.
