    Default cross reference?

Anyway to cross reference parts to find an equivalent for different appliance brands?

For instance, if a store just mostly handles GE appliances, but I need a stat for a Frigidaire. How would go about finding the GE stat that would work?

On a defrost stat you can match the temps.
EG: Defrost thermostat, L60-32, clips to evaporator

Opens at 60?F and recloses when below 32?F.

I know of no cross referance between manufactures.

    Thanks, Jeff.

I need a safety stat for an electrolux gas dryer part number 3204267. Happened to find one that gave the GE number as WE4X757. I have one of these. It is a used one but shows to be good via ohm meter and electric skillet.

I also need a Limiter (137539200) for the same dryer and was trying to get these parts new quickly. Local GE dealer had to have a GE number to cross reference which they did not have. I was thinking if I could find one physically the same with the same ratings, I could use it. I think it is rated at 300 f. Guess I will just order the thing.

The more I think about it, the less I think of using a used one on someone's dryer. Gotta wait anyway.

May post another question on this dryer.

The GE one is a little cheaper.

    Even cheaper...

    That one is fairly cheap.
